A refreshing and fizzy matcha drink that perfectly balances the sweet, tangy notes of honey and pomelo with the earthy richness of matcha. Whether you’re looking for a unique pick-me-up or a show-stopping drink to serve guests, the Honey Pomelo Matcha Fizz is a fun and flavorful way to elevate your tea ritual. The sparkling water adds a bubbly twist, making it an irresistible refreshing treat for any time of day.

Ingredients:

Pomelo Base:

  • ¼ cup pomelo segments
  • 1 tsp honey (adjust for sweetness)

Matcha:

Fizz:

  • ~1 cup sparkling water

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Matcha: 

  • Whisk matcha powder with 60ml of warm filtered water until smooth and frothy. Set aside.

2. Make the Pomelo Base:

  • Peel and segment the pomelo to yield about ¼ cup. Add to a mortar and pestle with honey, and crush until the juices are released and well combined.

3. Assemble the Drink:

  • Add the pomelo-honey mixture to a glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling water, then pour in the prepared matcha.

4. Stir & Serve:

  • Give the drink a gentle stir and enjoy this vibrant, citrusy matcha fizz!
