What is Matcha?

How is Matcha different from regular green tea?
Unlike regular green tea, where leaves are steeped in water and discarded, Matcha involves consuming the whole tea leaf, which is finely ground into a powder. This results in a more concentrated and earthy flavor with higher nutritional content.
What are the health benefits of Matcha?
Matcha is rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins, which can help reduce inflammation and protect against chronic diseases. It also contains L-theanine, which promotes relaxation without drowsiness, and a moderate amount of caffeine for a gentle energy boost.
How should I store Matcha?
Store Matcha in airtight, light-blocking containers in a cool, dry place. Our tin cans work perfectly.
What is the shelf life of Matcha?
When stored properly, Matcha can last up to one year, though it is best consumed within two months of opening.
How much caffeine is in Matcha?
One teaspoon of our Matcha contains approximately 65-70 mg of caffeine. It has around one third to half the caffeine content of a cup of brewed coffee. The combination of caffeine and the amino acid L-theanine in Matcha provides a calm yet alert state of mind.
What is the best water temperature for preparing Matcha?
We recommend using water around 80°C / 176°F.

What is Hojicha?
Hojicha is a roasted green tea made from the leaves, stems, and twigs of the tea plant. It has a distinct toasty, nutty flavor and is lower in caffeine compared to other green teas.
What are the health benefits of Hojicha?
Hojicha is known for its calming properties due to its low caffeine content. It also contains antioxidants and can aid in digestion due to its warm, soothing nature.
How should I store Hojicha?

Can I prepare Matcha without a bamboo whisk or bowl?
If you don’t have traditional tools, you can still use a milk frother or a small whisk to prepare Matcha. Simply sift the powder into a cup, add hot water, and whisk until frothy. Please note that without a whisk, the matcha may be clumpier and less foamy.

What is the cost of shipping?

How long will it take to receive my order?
